Vogue Dress

Vogue 8685
This fabric was a joy to work with! It's a pontemroma knit that I bought at Hancock Fabrics.
Since I was using a knit fabric I decided to leave out the back zipper which made this a quick project that I was able to make up in an afternoon.
I was atracted to this pattern because of the fitted look of the dress around the waist and I was not disappointed I love how it's slims the waist area on me.

The waist and top of the hip area has separate pattern pieces that you sew together then top stitch. The curve piece that attaches to the skirt area  gives a sliming effect to  my hips .I need all the help I can get :)

Great pattern that I will make again in one of the other views.

I'm off work today so  I may be able to finished my vogue wrap dress that I have been working on.
Thanks for stopping by hope you all have a good one. Bye Bye

  2. Lovely dress and may have to add to my pattern list. I could always use a garment with slimming effects.

  6. I made this dress in the straight skirt long sleeve, it didn't quite look as nice on me as I had hoped. I think the waist was too long for me. Your dress looks beautiful. Love the skirt portion and the cap sleeves. I think I am going to try it again and see if I can't figure how the fitting problems.
