A friend of mine is having a baby girl in July so I thought it would be fun to make some little girl clothes. I had fun making the little dress, panties and romper. I made the size xs 7-13 lbs.I was a little nervous about it turning out to large after sewing up a McCalls baby dress pattern last year and it came out larger than I expected. I don't know about you but I have found this to be so with McCalls patterns. I don't think a baby dress needs to have 4ins of ease in the pattern

Very cute!! I have found that all of the Big 4 baby patterns run quite large. My little one couldn't wear the Simplicity XXS (up to 7 pounds) size until she was 3 months (and closer to 12 pounds)! They are still very sweet, and I know the new mommy will appreciate them.
